Yamada: The first time I met Yuto-kun was when I was on a TV show's open audition. When the audition was over, and when Yuto-kun came out of the show, he asked me, "Let's go back together.". Yuto-kun carried a huge bag then.

Yuto: Yes I did yes I did (laughs)! It was nostalgic. Because our houses were in the same direction, so from that day onwards, whever we go home from work, it's always together, and we talked a lot. After joining the company for a year, Yama-chan said that he wanted to quit as a Junior, do you still remember?

Yamada: Ah~, that time Ryuutaro, who joined in the same period as me, Hasshi (hashimoto ryosuke), and Yuto-kun were in a group. I was the only one without a group and I was feeling really upset over it, and I was thinking maybe I should just quit.

Yuto: I was thinking 'that's just weird! your dance's really good, so why must you quit!?' and I stopped there. But seriously, I noticed the sad part. Yama-chan's really easy to get along with, and we danced beside one another, but it was only me who got chosen... yeah. And when I listened to Yama-chan's opinions, I got dark as well.

Yamada: That's true. Because I was still a child, so I didn't really think about how the other person would think about it. Just then, when I was really sad, I went to Hawaii with Yuto-kun!

Yuto: During the job, there were some Juniors who came in too. At first Yama-chan wasn't included into the members, but I said 'let's go together~".

Yamada: Thanks~. But because during that time I still didn't have a passport, so the whole trip was delayed for a week (laughs). Even in Hawaii, we were together always. We were even in the same hotel room.

Yuto: We were really on good terms. Till now, the fight that we had experienced together was only once.

Yamada: And that was around when JUMP was formed, we were really close. Even though that was a win fight (like, either one has to win), the reason was really lame. During that time, Yuto-kun had this habit of attacking the person that said a certain part of his body hurt.

Yuto: but Yama-chan WON'T EVER get angry.

Yamada: then, that day Yuto-kun said that a part of his body was hurting, so I thought 'I'll repay what he did earlier on♪', and he hit me with that part....

Yuto: and I shouted angrily

Yamada: Also, because Yuto-kun was a senior, so there was a big wall between us. so, my heart was thumping so hard that it cracked internally (laughs).

Yuto: When both of our pictures are taken, there was a big feeling of relief. That was our first shoot together, and if you were talking about statuses, it's senior and junior's fight. During the volleyball thing, there was a time when we had to have our faces together, so we probably felt pressure on each other.

Yamada: Even though there's no longer the senior and junior wall, but the respect still hasn't changed. For me, Yuto-kun will always be "Yuto-kun" (-kun is a prefix normally for girls to call guys with due respect. but in their case, it's just respect since young.) to me. Even in school, friends asked "Even though you guys are the same age, so why don't you just call him "Yuto"?" in a curious voice.

Yuto: True enough, people from the same age will think it's weird.

Yamada: In my case, calling "Yuto-kun" is just the same as brushing my teeth. It's a must do!

Yuto: For me, when I hear Yama-chan calling me that I feel happy. There's a feeling of being depended. Yama-chan is in lots of dramas, and also dancing in the center of JUMP, when I see him like this, I'll think 'he really did his best~'. Yama-chan's really a diligent person, I know it better than anyone. So for Yama-chan to be how he is now, is totally acceptable. For example, to see how much effort he put in his dance, you can see it through his Junior times. Even though I was the one holding onto the mic singing, the Junior that shone the brightest at the back was always Yama-chan.

Yamada: ...Somehow, I'm really embarassed. But also, I'm really happy.

Yuto: It's first time doing something like this together. Somehow, it feels weird.

Yamada: Yeah, it feels super weird. But when Yuto-kun plays the drum, he's really cool. During the spring concert, Dai-chan saw Yuto-kun's drum playing, and he said "if we don't do something like him it's ba~d" and I felt a sense of danger. I only said it now (shy).

Yuto: Eh~, it's my first time knowing something like this.

Yamada: That's why, do take the JUMP band seriously. Even though our success rate is high, but because we're still growing, so it can be JUMP's biggest weapon. Seriously, to have the best time with our fans.

Yuto: Someday I want my drum to go with Yama-chan's dance. Even though it's something I'm saying myself, our chemistry goes really well together.

Yamada: That's because we've known each other for a long time~. Something that we've done together, only us, wouldd be from dancing beside each other in 'Seishun Amigo' (for those who doesn't know... which is impossible, it's the theme song for 'Nobuta wo Produce', sung by YamaPi. And Kame.)

Lulz srzly, I made a stupid mistake earlier on. Because 'Tsukiai' = known each other for some time, and I mixed it up with 'lovers' XD no, not that I'm blind and I can't see the difference between 'tsukiai' and 'koibito', but because I've been watching too many shoujo animes -w-. Speaking of troubles, I remember mine from when I just started as a (Johnny's) Jr. I entered the Jimusho in my 6th year of elementary school, but honestly, I didn't feel like singing and dancing in front of others. Originally it had been my sister who thought about the fact that I could sing and dance in front of an audience, as for myself, it took a bit longer to accept that. I was mostly concerned about playing around with my friends, rather than doing my activities. When I saw myself singing I was always concerned about what people would say. That's why I kept it a secret for a while, when I just entered the Jimusho.
At that time, I was also a member of the soccer team, and when dance practice and soccer training overlapped each other in weekends I said, "I have to do things at home, so I'll miss practice." "Again? You have no motivation!" is what I got back from my teammates. That being told, I couldn't avoid having to think about my messy mind. My weakness is that I get bored really easily. I do not have the will to go on. From the 100 hobby's I start, there are only two whom I continue. However, for those two, it where things I got hooked on right away (at first sight). At least, so far. Up 'till now, I did resistance training for my muscles for about a month before the Ninkyo Helper filimg [explains the sixpack he was havin'] , and the collecting of perfume bottles. If I'm bored I might redo these.

This was unexpected. I thought it's Sho-kun. This is whether I wore female clothes or not lately, right? I did it once in AU CM, so that must had left a strong impression. The make-up artist prepared about 20 wigs and properly chose the one that fit. It was difficult both for me and the make-up artist. Well, I was chosen this time, (so) it's like an accomplishment. Thank you very much. Come to think of it, I did become a maid in "Yamada Tarou Monogatari". I was called cute, but I never thought that myself (laughs).

Arioka: In the concert we’re doing now, there’s this corner where Hikaru-kun plays the base, Yuto plays the drums and we dance.

Yamada: We practiced a lot. When it came to do it in front of the audience… the dance was cut short was the staff members (laughs).

Arioka: Yeah. I thought, “It’s probably because we’re attracting too much attention to ourselves. Right. Right.” (laughs). A bunch of things change even during the concert itself, so by the time this magazine comes out, it might change again.

Yamada: I bet a lot of people watching that corner was surprised. I had fun, and the two of them playing the instruments looked cool!

Arioka: Yeah! Hikaru-kun and Yuto looked really cool! Before the corner starts, we have nothing to do so we watch them right.

Yamada: Yeah, yeah. While Keito and Ryutaro says, “That looks so much fun. They look so cute today~” or “The drums are completely different from the dances, they look so cool~” (laughs).

Arioka: After they do that, we both dash out onto the stage… usually.

Yamada: Speaking about back stage, I heard that while we were singing, “Ganbaretsugo” BEST dances along with us in the back stage?

Arioka: Ah, so you heard. We get so hyped it’s ridiculous (laughs).

Yamada: Yabu-kun and those people had said that they were more excited than 7 who were out onto the stage and I thought that was ridiculous (laughs).

Arioka: It is true though.

Yamada: Seriously!? How intense do you guys dance (laughs). I heard that this song really hits Daichan’s spots.

Arioka: Yeah, I love this song. While 7 was having a meeting on what songs to sing, I was coincidentally there. When one of the staff members suggested, “Ganbaretsugo” I barged in and said, “That’s amazing! Please do that song!” even though I had nothing to do with meeting (laughs). Does Yamada have a BEST song you want to sing?

Yamada: Although I’ve done it before, I really like “Thrill”. Also, in our last concert tour, I liked the medly BEST sang, the “Just Wanna lovin you.” Yes, that’s what it says in the scan. Idk. I like it like a stupid fool (laughs). I back danced for you guys then and it was really fun.

Arioka: We’re basically known for that song.

Yamada: I was so excited I drained my energy then (laughs).

Arioka: During the concerts, whenever I see Yamada, you seem to make all the fans happy, even if it’s unconsciously. Even without any music in the background, as soon as Yamada says one sentence, the fans are like, “Kya….” (laughs). Also during Hitomi no Screen’s “I love you.”

Yamada: You know how frigging embarrassing that is!? Try doing that once.

Arioka: I did.

Yamada: Seriously? When?

Arioka: There was my version, Yabukun’s version, and HIkarukun’s version. I had always wanted to do it, but when it came to actually do it… I was so embarrassed (laughs). When I said it, my knees felt as if they were about to buckle. You know that dance move where you move around your finger in front of your eyes? I practically sprained my finger then (laughs). (Yaotome, who was closeby said, “Your face got red as a tomato, and the staff members had to say, “Sorry, can we film it one more time” (laughs).) Arioka: On top of that, after we had finished singing, we did a monitor check in front of everybody (laughs). (Yabu, who was also near, said, “After my “I Love you,” Hikaru was cracking up so much.)
Arioka: Doing it is embarrassing but seeing it for yourself is embarrassing too (laughs). Being able to do that in front of thousands of people at the concert, Yamada, you’re awesome!

Yamada: Right, right!? It’s truly embarrassing, right? After I say that phrase, the area around my heart suddenly becomes itchy (laughs).

Arioka: (Putting his hand on Yamada’s shoulder and says) You’re really awesome! I admire you!

Yamada: …. If you say so (laughs).

Arioka: So we all found out that Yamada tries his hardest and so after he says his phrase “I love you” fans, please make sure you cheer for him (laughs).

Yamada: I’m glad that the fans are cheering for me, but that makes it even more embarrassing! After I say that phrase, my heart might explode (laughs).
